Watch the sunset over the mountains from the shores of Sacandaga Lake

Camp Fowler sits along the shore of beautiful Sacandaga Lake. Visible from much of the property, the lake is an ideal place for a quiet paddle or a place to watch the sunset at the end of the day. In the winter, the views of the lake just get better!

Details

  • Camp Fowler has a fleet of canoes and kayaks that we use as part of our summer camp program. Use of these boats may be able to be added to your reservation. Typically, boating is only available for groups that have a multiple facility rental in late August through September.

If you wish to bring your own canoe or kayak, you are free to do so, but keep in mind you will need to carry your boat down to the water (driving is not permitted on the Beach). Life jackets should be worn by all guests.

  • Upon inquiry, canoes and kayaks may be available for rentals in late August through September. After that point, the boats are put away for the winter.

Access to boats is not part of your regular reservation of the Prayer Cabins, Pine Lodge, Troost Lodge, or Chi Rho House.

  • Swimming is not permitted without the presence of a Camp Fowler lifeguard.

Life jackets must be worn while boating.
