    • We're excited that you've chosen to register for your retreat online. This insures a quick and safe registration process for you. Your credit card or echeck will be processed through THRIVA, which provides Fowler with secure fund transfers. That's important to you and us! You will see "Thriva" show up on your credit statement in reference to your retreat payment.

    By registering on line you will also be able to know whether you got your registration in before the retreat was filled. We hope this also helps you.

    Once registered you will receive an email confirmation outlining more information about your specific retreat.

    Quiet

    An empty room is silent. A room where people are not speaking or moving is quiet. Silence is a given, quiet a gift. Silence is the absence of sound and quiet the stilling of sound. Silence campt be anything but silent. Quiet chooses to be silent. It holds its breath to listen. It wait and is still.

    "In returning and rest you shall be saved," says God through the prophet Isaiah, "in quietness and confidence shall be your strength." (Isaiah 30:15). They are all parts of each other. We return to our deep strength and to the confidence that lies beneath all our misgiving. The quiet there, the rest, is beyond the reach of the world to distrub. It is how being saved sounds.

    To retreat is to step outside of our normal lives in order to reflect on where we have been and where we might be going; to catch a glimpse of how we might live differently; and to listen for the still, small voice of God that still whispers throughout the land.

    Nestled in the Adirondack mountains on 245 wooded acres, and snuggled against Sacandaga Lake, Fowler Camp and Retreat Center is an ideal place to hold your meeting or retreat. Each of Fowler's three year round retreat centers is equipped to provide for your group's needs.
