To retreat is to step outside of our normal lives in order to reflect on where we have been and where we might be going; to catch a glimpse of how we might live differently; and to listen for the still, small voice of God that still whispers throughout the land. Nestled in the Adirondack mountains on 245 wooded acres, and snuggled against Sacandaga Lake, Fowler Camp and Retreat Center is an ideal place to hold your meeting or retreat. One of our favorite areas to send folks on a winter retreat is Oak Mountain. It's only 3 miles from camp and has skiing for beginner through expert ability. Its low cost and family atmosphere make it perfect for your retreat. AND...don't forget to check out their fabulous tubing hill! The Adirondack Museum, one hour north of camp on Rte 30, is a great summer and fall excursion for retreat groups. Voted one of the best regional museums in the United States, this museum will give you a greater appreciation for the history and future of this fantastic Adirondack Park. Make sure you allow yourself at least 3 hours to spend at the museum.
