Directions to Fowler

We're closer than you think we are...and it's worth it!

From Amsterdam:

Take exit 27 from the Thruway (Interstate 90). Follow Rte. 30 north to Speculator (approx. 60 miles). In Speculator, turn left onto Rte 8. Follow Rte. 8 2.5 miles to Pelcher Road. Look for the Fowler sign across the road from the Marina sign. Follow signs to Chi Rho, Pine Lodge, Troost Lodge & Nature Center, or Center of Camp where summer camper registration happens.

From Utica:

Take exit 31 from the Thruway (Interstate 90). Follow Rte. 12/Rte. 8 north until Rte. 8 breaks off on the right. Stay on Rte. 8 approx. 60 miles. Look for Pelcher Road after passing through the Hamlet of Lake Pleasant and crossing the outlet stream connecting Lake Pleasant with Sacandaga Lake. Pelcher Road will be on your left. Look for the Fowler sign across the road from the Marina sign. Follow signs to Chi Rho, Pine Lodge, Troost Lodge & Nature Center, or Center of Camp where summer camper registration happens.

From Saratoga Springs:

Take exit 15 from the Northway (Interstate 87). Follow Rte 50 into Saratoga Springs. Turn right onto Rte. 29 and head west approx. 35 miles. Turn right onto Rte 30 and follow it approx. 45 miles north into Speculator. In Speculator, turn left onto Rte 8. Follow Rte. 8 2.5 miles to Pelcher Road. Look for the Fowler sign across the road from the Marina sign. Follow signs to Chi Rho, Pine Lodge, Troost Lodge & Nature Center, or Center of Camp where summer camper registration happens.

Directions for Mohktar and those who want the "scenic view."

Start heading north out of Scotia on Rte. 147 (Sacandaga Road). Follow this through bucolic road until it stops at Rte. 29. Turn left and follow Rte. 29 one mile. Turn right onto Potterhollow Road (it may also be called "Greens Corners Road"). Follow this as it passes forest, meadow, horse farms and orchards. It too will end and you will turn left onto Fayville Road. Now you are in southern Adirondack forest with houses and cabins scattered along the way. Keep a sharp eye out for turkeys and deer as they pass over this lightly traveled road. Fayville Road will end at Fish House Road on the edge of the Great Sacandaga Lake. Turn right and travel along the shores of this man made reservoir. You will pass over the Batchlerville Bridge and enjoy splendid views of the Southern Adirondack Mountains. About five miles after passing through Edinburgh you will come to a stop sign. Take a left and wind downhill into the town of Northville. Once in town, follow the signs for Rte. 30 and after crossing over another bridge spanning the Great Sacandaga Lake, turn right onto Rte 30 and follow the directions listed above to camp.
