Trail Mix Week

3rd-6th grade

What do you get when you mix elementary kids, a bunch of great adult counselors and summer staff, and a week outside in the Adirondacks? You get our new "Trail Mix" week! This is a week where you will learn about canoeing and spend a night, with your buddies, in a real Adirondack Leanto. And of course there's all the other fun you always have at camp!

Sunday as camp starts

10:30 Worship in the Chapel-by-the-Lake. All are welcome and camp offers a brunch afterwards. (Donations accepted)

12:00 Lunch/Summer Staff Meeting

1:00 Volunteer Meeting down in Lakeside Lodge to get to know the other volunteers and summer staff

2:30 Camper Registration Begins. Campers will register with their parent or guardian and then go to the nurse to make sure that all medical information is correct and that any medications are checked in. After that they will receive their cabin assignments!

3:30 All Camp Games on the Meadows

5:45 Picnic Dinner on Suits Field in the Center of Camp

6:30 Camper Orientation Continued/Counselor Meeting in Lakeside Lodge to go over the rest of Sunday and Monday's activities

8:00 Vespers in the Chapel by the Lake. Watch out for French Gustaff!!!!

9:00 Back to Cabin

7:15 Canoe/Fishing/Polar Bear (optional)

7:30 Wake Up

8:15 Morning Worship in the Outdoor Chapel

8:35 Breakfast

9:15 Cabin Clean-Up (Rotation preparation)

10:00 Discovery/Solo-Time

11:15 Morning Adventures

12:30 Flex-Time to get ready for lunch

12:45 Lunch

1:30 Siesta Time

2:30 Afternoon Adventures

4:00 Flex-Time

5:30 Dinner

6:30 Center of Camp Free time/Counselor Meeting

7:30 Evening Program **Wilderness Area Group heads out for the sleep-out

10:00 Lights-Out/Devotionals

 

Friday night we have a light snack and then worship and then...THE PIZZA PARTY!

AFTER THAT, campers go back to their cabin areas for campfires and songs. What a great way to wrap up a great week.

Camp ends on Saturday morning after morning watch, a great breakfast, and a fare-well group hug and blessing. Parents are asked to be to camp by 10:00AM in order to pick up their child. The store will be open and families are encouraged to roam around and hear the stories of what happened during this amazing and special week
