Northern Canoe Challenge!

9th-12th grade

July 25 - August 7 (two weeks!)

This is where the rubber meets the road... or perhaps where the paddle meets the current! 6 million acres in the Adirondack Forest Preserve and we intend to make sure we see as much of it as possible.

You are the first Fowler campers to partake in what is sure to be an epic trip! We've done our "Go For It!" backpacking (hiking the entire 120 miles of the Northville-Lake Placid Trail. Watch for it next summer!) for years now. So we thought we would give the canoes their due.

This trip will challenge you. Two weeks in the backcountry paddling, portaging, and camping. Learning how to care for yourself and others in a wilderness setting. And being amazed at God's goodness in good weather and bad. The following is the itinerary we hope to follow. Remember that in the wilderness there are lots of variables: weather, route, group dynamics, etc. These will all factor into how our trip proceeds.
